How it works

You put a followed link to built2winweb.com on your site. We feature your site here, on a page about sites like yours, in front of people who build them. That is the swap.

Your free listing is nofollow. We would rather state that than let you assume otherwise. It is a real link on a real page and people click it. What it does not do is pass ranking signal.

Two reasons. A page handing out twenty five followed links a day to sites nobody vetted is the exact pattern search engines treat as a link scheme, and if we did it the listing would be worth less to everyone on it, not more. And our side of the swap lives on this subdomain rather than on built2winweb.com, which keeps the whole arrangement away from the domain our clients' work sits on.

If you want an upgraded link, that is a paid option on your dashboard rather than something we hand out twenty five times a day.

A link is followed by default. There is no rel="dofollow" attribute; it has never existed in the HTML spec and no search engine reads it. What exists is the instruction not to follow.

So we check for an <a> pointing at built2winweb.com whose rel does not contain nofollow, ugc or sponsored. We also check the page for a robots meta tag that sets nofollow, because that applies to every link on the page no matter what the link itself says.

Plain text links count. Our badge image is a convenience, not a requirement.

A priority place never removes a free place. If you pay, you are buying position on a day, not somebody else's spot.

A day counts when you sign in and your badge is up.

Your run ends if the account goes 24 hours without being touched. Any page on this site counts as touching it, signed in. You do not have to earn a day to stay alive, only to be present, so the honest version is: show up once a day, at roughly the same time or earlier.

If your site is unreachable or the badge is briefly gone, the day still counts, up to 5 grace days across a whole run. Spend them all and the next badge failure ends the run. The budget is per run rather than per week so it cannot be cycled, and it resets when a new streak starts.

Days roll over at midnight America/New_York for everybody, so the boundary is the same wherever you are. A streak on the leaderboard disappears the day it breaks, which is why the board is shorter than the member list.

Attempts to use it against a second domain are refused and written to a log we read. This is not a threat, it is the reason the giveaway can exist at all: one grant has to mean one site, or it stops being possible to give away.

It does not promise rankings. It does not guarantee traffic. One listing on one subdomain is one listing, and anyone telling you a directory entry moves a competitive keyword is selling something. What it does give you is a real link people click, a daily habit, and a $599 product if you keep the habit for 150 days.
